Preview Studio terms and conditions of sale

Introduction

These terms and conditions, as well as the other policies referenced (Preview Studio's Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, Delivery Policy, and Disclaimer) set out your legal rights and responsibilities, our legal rights and responsibilities, and key information required by law.

Definitions

"We, us or our" means Preview Studio, a trading name of Et Architecture Ltd (company number 08826905), with our registered office at 11 Southbourne Gardens, London SE12 8UQ. 

"Our site or our website" means the site on which these terms and condition are displayed: www.previewstudio.co.uk

"Terms" means these terms and conditions of sale as updated from time to time.

"You or your" means the person accessing or using our site to make purchases from us.

Terms and conditions of sale

These terms apply to any sale of services on our site. If you buy services on our site you agree to be legally bound by these terms, and those contained in our Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, Delivery Policy, and Disclaimer. 

These terms are only available in English. The laws of England and Wales apply to these terms.

Ordering from us

Here we set out how a contract between you and us is made.

You place an order on our site by adding services to the cart, and then submitting it by pressing 'checkout'.  Please check your order before submitting it.

When you confirm payment at the end of the online checkout process we will acknowledge it by email. This acknowledgement does not, however, mean that your order has been accepted.

We may contact you to say that we do not accept your order and reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. This is typically for the following reasons:

  • It is not possible for us to provide the service;

  • There has been a mismatch between your home and the services ordered;

  • We cannot authorise your payment;

  • You are not allowed to buy services from us;

  • We are not allowed to sell the service to you;

  • The number of services you have ordered is too large;

  • There has been a mistake on the pricing or description of the services;

We will only accept your order when we send you a confirmation email to confirm this. At this point a contract will be in place between you and us.

The services 

The full range of our services and their prices are described on our website, which we refer to in these terms as ‘the service’,  ‘the services’ or ‘our service’ and ‘our services’. 

We design home renovations and extensions based on your brief and information on the existing building that you supply or that we are able to find. We also provide supplemental information relevant to the home renovation or extension project.

The product of our services is a document describing your project, along with supplemental information relevant to the project. This is generally delivered in the form of a PDF document, and may be supplemented with printed copies and/or models if these have been purchased by you.  PDF document readers are freely available and for Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS and Android operating systems.

We will provide the services you have purchased if it is possible for us to do so. In the event that it is not possible for us to provide the services, we will inform you in writing, and cancel and refund the purchase.

In providing the services we will exercise reasonable skill and care, within the constraints of the process outlined on our website. Due to the limitations of our process we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the product of our service.

Your brief

Our designs are based on the brief you provide us during checkout, and through subsequent communication such as phone calls, emails and video calls. 

We will provide a summary of the brief you give us at checkout, and following any subsequent communication that alters the brief.

The Preview Studio pack includes one design revision as standard, which must also be based on your brief as set out within the confirmation email.  You may purchase an Extra Design Option for designs based on a new or revised brief.  

Liability

Preview Studio do not accept liability for any loss or damage that results from your use of the information we provide (except for legal responsibilities that we cannot exclude in law such as for death or personal injury), including: 

  • Loss of profit

  • Loss or corruption of data

  • Loss of use

  • Loss of production

  • Loss of contract

  • Loss of opportunity 

  • Loss of savings, discount or rebate

  • Harm to reputation or loss of goodwill

Copyright

Preview Studio own the copyright in the drawings and documents that we produce for you.

As part of our service to you we grant you the licence to copy and use these drawings and documents for purposes related to your project only. By purchasing our service you also agree not to resell any portion of the service.

In the event of cancellation or a refund of a purchase, the copyright licence granted to you is suspended.

Unless requested all drawings and images produced as part of our service will be usable by Preview Studio for our website and promotional activities.

Payment

We use Stripe to handle our payments. Stripe is an online payment software that allows us to accept credit and debit cards for payment. Stripe accepts these cards:

  • Visa (credit and debit cards)

  • MasterCard (credit and debit cards)

  • American Express

Details of Stripe's security systems are included in our Privacy Policy.

We will do all that we reasonably can to ensure that all of the payment information you give us when paying for goods is secure by using an encrypted and secure payment mechanism. However, in the absence of negligence on our part we will not be legally responsible to you for any loss that you suffer if a third party gains unauthorised access to any payment information you give us.

The price of our services is in pounds sterling (£)(GBP)

Cancellation and Refunds

Our policy regarding cancellation and refunds, including our money-back guarantee, is described on the Refund Policy page of our website.

Complaints and Disputes

We aim to provide a professional standard of service, but if you are not satisfied, please bring the issue to our attention by emailing us at hello@previewstudio.co.uk and we can discuss how to resolve the issue.

If we cannot resolve a dispute through negotiation, or through our money-back guarantee, we will let you know that we cannot settle the dispute with you, and provide you with information about an alternative dispute resolution provider we deem appropriate to deal with your complaints.

If you want to take court proceedings, the relevant courts of the United Kingdom will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to these terms.

Prohibited uses

You may not use our service to submit false or misleading information.
